When a plan
comes together

The Van Houtven construction company needed a new website – which is why they contacted us. An instant match. Apart from this, they were quick to understand that Hooox does so much more than simply weld together a sturdy online platform. It’s the strategy, stupid!

Strategy first

First the basics. What exactly do you want to achieve? And which message will convince your customer? In a nutshell, you have to fully understand the strengths and values of your company and the best way to align these to your target group’s requirements.

More easily said than done. A brainstorming session with the management and employees soon revealed the firm’s strengths and weaknesses. We incorporated this data into a strategic analysis, which then became the common thread running through the development of the website.

Strategy first

A personalised approach

During the brainstorming session, one of the things that stood out was Van Houtven’s personalised approach. This also had to be apparent on the new website, with authentic images of what is going on behind the scenes to give the family-owned and operated company a human face throughout the website.

Strategy versus usability

Usability is key. This is why we opted for a clear and simple web structure. Every visitor, whether a private individual or an architect, can now instantly find his or her way around Van Houtven’s broad range of services, ranging from traditional or ecological to turnkey construction solutions.

Awareness campaign

Besides ecological construction and renovation (Van Houtven’s core business) the company also wanted to highlight its expertise in solid timber construction. To promote ecological timber construction we launched an engaging campaign on social media.

Our mission? To create greater name recognition in the company’s own region. For this, we created a plethora of new assets, which included a digital presentation, a time-lapse sequence of the site, newsletters to architects, online advertisements, and more.

We incorporated these into a newsletter to architects, in combination with the photo material. It also included an invitation to an informative session about this new construction method.

Digital advertising

Finally, a Facebook campaign was also launched to promote awareness for this method in the region where Van Houtven operates.
