Building a good relationship with the local community

The successful development of a project depends on a good relationship with the local community. This must be built up step by step and then maintained through open and accurate communication. Community engagement is a skill in its own right. This was something that Interwaas and Stephane Beel Architects were all too aware of when they launched their regeneration project in Sint-Niklaas.

Keep communicating proactively

hooox ensured that communication regarding this Paterssite project with the local community and the wider public ran smoothly. A comprehensive communication strategy was developed, which began with an information session for the local community. The key then was to keep all stakeholders involved in the project and to communicate not only reactively, but above all proactively.
