This is not Banimmo’s first venture at The Loop. Following the successful development of NETWORKS I and II, the time is now ripe to add a new chapter with Atmos. The sustainability ambitions for this project are exceptionally high.

Not only does ATMOS promise future tenants that their building will comply with the latest European taxonomy rules regarding CO2 emissions during the building’s use, but emissions during the construction of ATMOS are also minimised through highly innovative techniques such as hemp plantations on site.

The Atmos project marks the latest phase of NETWORKS Gent, an office development by Gronbank The Loop in the rapidly evolving The Loop district. Gronbank The Loop is a joint venture between Banimmo and SOGent. Building on the success of the NETWORKS brand in Ghent, Brussels North and Forest, Atmos heralds a new era on the horizon.

Atmospheric launch

The architectural approach of Arch&Teco is based on a smaller-scale dynamic, comprising five low-rise buildings, all connected by a lively ground-level area where pedestrians and cyclists reign supreme. The name ‘Atmos’ is a nod to the atmospheric layer that protects our planet, and the individual buildings symbolise the other layers that work together to safeguard our living environment.

A new station location

The direct cycle link to Gent Sint-Pieters further underscores The Loop’s transformation into a cycle-friendly extension of the station district.

Surrounded by greenery and built with the European taxonomy and the highest BREEAM standards in mind, this building offers features that are rare in new office developments in Ghent.

Atmos therefore promises to make a breathtaking contribution to the sustainable future of workplaces.

A smart marketing approach

Building a strong brand identity, setting up a commercial website to support estate agents, and, of course, providing ongoing communication support via social media at various events, such as a cycle tour from the station to Atmos led by Alderman Sammy Souguir, or footage of the hemp plantation harvest featuring video interviews with all partners.
